The Little Things

November 16, 2012  •  2 Comments

It seems to be that Thanksgiving is the one time of year where people suddenly start proclaiming what they are thankful for. All over Facebook you see people posting what that is each day in November. While this is great and all, I got to thinking (whilst making cookies), there really are a lot of little things to be thankful for. The trick is to remind yourself of all of these things year round. I mean literally as I was making chocolate chip cookies, I thought: "sure there are things to complain about, but hey at least I have the means to make something so delicious." I won't lie, they happen to be the best thing ever, so it's easy to get that warm and fuzzy feeling while making them/eating them!

Really though, for many this would be a luxury. It's amazing that what many consider a necessity, probably just as many see as a luxury, or even just impossible. Not that cookies are a necessity for me, I'm just saying there are plenty of people who say they need chocolate from time to time. The point is a lot of these "needs" really aren't needed to live. Things like: owning a car, having creamer in your coffee, coffee at all, makeup, soda, heat/ac, and the list goes on. At the same time, many of us forget to appreciate the little things like coffee creamer :), and we end up noticing negative things instead. Ummm and if you are one of those perfect people who are never in a bad mood and never say anything negative, well then I guess aliens really do exist! So in honor of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, I just thought it would be nice to remind everyone to be thankful for the little things in life (like having the opportunity to take the pics below)!

Oh wait, just when you thought you were finally done reading. I wanted to mention that I am very thankful to everyone who reads this and supports me in my photography ventures. To say thank you, I decided to offer huge discounts on lots of prints. They are anywhere from 20 to 40 percent off the price listed (depending on size, print quality, etc). To simplify this post, if you are interested in one for yourself or for a Christmas or Hanukkah gift, please email me the title of the print and the size and I will give you the discounted price.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
